Pitch under mangroves, downcurrent obstuctions, topwater grassflats, Pitch on Stickups. I find alot of Bass fishing techniques work extremely well in saltwater also.
This is the Northern Pass of Estero Bay in South Ft.Myers. This pass is very large but is uniuque because on the south side of the pass has a nice beach access and the water is shallow just on the edge of the channel where the fish follow the current. This s a great place to catch Snapper, Trout, Redfish, Whiting and i amk sure many other species that floow the tides coming in and out of Estero Bay.
This is just me testing out the send group message functionality. Its been a while since Ive sent out a group message, and I want to test out a fix I just made to the functionality to ensure prompt message delivery and email alerts. Everything should be working perfect now.

Last weekend i went fishing on the incoming tide in Estero Bay. The wind was out of the west early in the morning so i went to the eastern shore. I found a spot where the current choked down between the the eastern shore and a mangrove island. Naturally i setup in the middle just upcurrent of the choke and casted a spoon several times. I caught some small trout about 12". After an hour of this i pulled anchor and floowed this current into a shallow water bay and found a point that shielded the wind. Here i saw alot of dead mangroves laying in the water. I casted a live shrimp very close to the shore into the dead mangroves laying in the water. Within 30 seconds i set the hook on what turned out to be a 25" Redfish which gave me a good fight on my BPS 6'6" Medium Heavy rod with my Pflueger Spinning reel. On this day i was using Owner 1/0 circle hooks, Cajun Line 14lb test.
